We Saw the Mills!

August 26th, 2007 | 427 views

Ok, here comes the life, etc. update!

Yesterday we were at the village of Kinderdijk, which features the famous 19 windmills built around 1740 and today is an important tourist location in Holland. We had a beautiful Saturday weather, biked for about 2hrs to there and another hour back. I was able to also take some nice for my stock portfolio - hopefully they get approved. Here are some of the two of us at the windmills:

Apart from that, Petra and I have been able to have some good time together - taking walks in the nearby park, and spending more time with each other. I suppose this sort of “lazy” schedule will change a bit once she begins her classes in September, but I personally find it a lot more peaceful here than at EuNC or compared to our summers in Sofia.

I’ve been working quite a bit with my reviewing of images - I need to make quite some extra on top of the usual so that my salary can reach the low-average for Holland. For now we’re not having much high expenses, but as we start driving our car, visiting with friends, and having some weekend outings in the coming months then things will change. Plus, our main goal for the coming two years is to save as much as possible… Oh well, God has blessed us with plenty so I’m not worried whether we’ll make it. We just need more and more wisdom each day concerning how, when and on what to spend, so that we’re not waisting anything.

I’ve been able to continue writing prayer devotionals for the web-site molitvata.com which I’m busy with. I just published a new one in Bulgarian, and later today I’ll also translate it into English. It’s about us being thankful in our everyday life, but more specifically also in our prayers. Check the site out these days if you want to read it in English. For me it’s becoming more and more exciting to see my last 4 years of studies somehow resulting in a practical way. :)

Drop me a comment about how you’re doing! I’ll try to use the blog as much as possible as a way of communicating with everyone, but I’ll always respond to an email as well - so don’t hesitate to write! :)

Greetings from Petra!

Petar

Pesho, I love your photos (Petra wondering what God’s will is ;-) really cool) and I am so impressed by how the molitvata website has developed! Glad to have been a part of it, though I always think I could’ve done a better job with the logo. At least the lines could have been smoother…
