A Brief Personal Update
Thursday, December 6th, 2007 at 2:00 am (GMT+2) by PetarDear friends,
It truly has been a long while since the last personal update from us on our site. Well, life has been busier than what it probably should have been… Things seem to be more stable now, but then again – the December celebrations bring along quite a load of additional tasks.
Anyways, here’s how we’re doing in brief: both of us are still working. Petra’s also studying and continuing to take driving lessons – her driving exam is on Dec. 19 – your prayers and support are much needed – it’s a stressful event having in mind all that’s invested into getting there. Me being able to finally drive our car has given us quite some freedom concerning the little free time we have. So that’s nice – at least we know we’re not stuck at home permanently.
Having that freedom we also found a church to go to for the time we’ll be in Holland. It’s called New Life Christian Fellowship, an affiliate of Church of God, Cleavland, Tennessee, USA. It’s a very alive young church which is active in the community and we feel very welcome to. The services are in English although the people attending are from all over the place. And, of course, we do like that it’s international – it’s always an eye- and mind-opener. More about the church you can learn by visiting their site here: http://www.nlcf.nl/index.html.
Some of you know that I had some problems sleeping which caused me to worry for a while. Well, now I can praise God for His goodness and provision concerning this – I’ve been back on a somewhat regular sleeping schedule for a few weeks already. I get up between 6:30 and 10am – depending on whether it’s a working day or not. Usually I’m in bed before 1am, so that’s quite nice. I’m also starting to do some daily running outdoors and perhaps additional exercises to get me back into a better shape physically. Since I’m working at home and have little to do outdoors I’ve slacked down quite a bit. But it’ll get better.
Two weeks ago we made it to the Dutch Biesbos – a neat forest and fields park with animals and lot’s of space to walk around. We had a relaxing walk there and here are a few random shots I took there.
Well, as I said – it’ll be a brief update. Drop us a line to let us know how you’re doing if we haven’t talked lately (as I have with some of you…).
Many greetings from Holland!
Petar and Petra

Petar – Sure great to hear you are doing much better as far as your sleeping is concerned. And to also know that you are both working – that’s always good, too. I’m interested in the church you are attending that sounds very international with a mix of peoples, but using English as the common language. I like your pitures of the Dutch Biesbos. Looks interesting. Well, keep in touch. I’m praying for you both!
Joy in Jesus, Mickey
