This post intends to provide you with numerous resources on the topic of genocide in one location, so that you can easily access them. The links will be accompanied by brief comments and somehow sorted in general categories. Updates of this page will be performed periodically. GENOCIDE IN GENERAL

  3. http://www.unhchr.ch/html/menu3/b/p_genoci.htm – the UN convention on genocide itself. Also contains a link to the list with the countries’ ratification status and remarks.

DARFUR, SUDAN

  1. http://www.cbc.ca/doczone/darfur/video.html – an hour long video documentary by CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) tracking the Darfur genocide from 2003 till 2007/8. Highly Recommended.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_in_Darfur – wikipedia’s main article about the genocide in Darfur. If you don’t have the one hour time to watch the movie – this is a must-read.
  3. http://www.darfurinformation.com/ – a bit outdated, but yet very informative site on the Darfur genocide.
  4. http://www.darfurinformation.com/pdf/Darfur-Book-New-Edition.pdf - a freely available book covering the Darfur genocide in detail.

RWANDA

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rwandan_Genocide – wikipedia’s extended article on the Rwandan genocide from 1994. Provides a massive amount of links and documents which are worth reading.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_Habyarimana_and_Ntaryamira – the assassination of Rwanda’s president JuvĂ©nal Habyarimana on April 6, 1994 which set off the genocide.
