It was the trip I was waiting on for quite some time now… Not so much because it involved yet another Christian leaders meeting, but mostly because I got to see old friends from college and spend some good 1500-1600km on the road. And I just love long drives – whether on highways or small roads – it don’t matter. This time I even got a little of both.

Below you can see some of the shots from the Leadership Conference 2009 – taking place in the village of Buesingen, Germany/Switzelrand and organized by the college I graduated from – EuNC. This time the conference was quite strange, with the topic Fully Alive. I won’t comment much on it, besides saying that it was far less than what I had expected – could have been more practical and addressing the whole of the church body, not just the leaders. The whole church ought to be fully alive, right?

Anyways, here’s the shots. I didn’t get to take any other type of shots because the weather was primarily North-Western (ie. gloomy, cold and wet).

They (the believers) devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs wede done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. The book of Acts is one of the books that come closest to my heart. Probably because the Old Testament is a bit farther from my personal cultural experience and Revelation simply has too many variables when it comes to interpreting its meaning. Acts, however, speaks at a level I seem to understand easier. Well, anyways. These few verses have been on my mind lately because a few weeks back I was sitting at church on a Sunday, I heard an announcement of a conference and suddenly I thought – It appears that only at conferences we come close to living as it’s described in the quote above.
