On a journey to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

A small update… finally.

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Yes, it’s been a long while since our last posted here… We thought March was busy - yet, April went even further. Pretty much both of us are ready for a vacation - not that we’ll get one any time this year, but at least I can mention it. Petra’s high pace internship and studies are leaving a mark on her in the face of an almost permanent tiredness. With me it’s more of an anxiety issue - I’m way too eager to do the things I don’t really have the time for: take lots of , read some books, scan the nearby parks and outing areas… And as you can guess that ticks off my sleeping schedule quite often.

But - there’s only a little left till the summer begins and we head for Bulgaria. Not that it will be very peaceful and restful, but at least we hope that the change of environment will energize us a bit… besides the excessive Bulgarian heat, perhaps. :) This also means that Petra has only a few more weeks of busyness, which is good. For me, this summer will probably mean working at a slower speed for a few weeks and taking more instead. We’ll see how all this will work out. (more…)

Yay! One of my photos used on-line!

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

This an exciting thing - for the first time I was contacted by a person who bought one of my from Dreamstime to let me know where it’s going to be used. What’s even more exciting is that it’s being used as an Easter Greeting Card. You can find the wonderful Rila Monastery icons on this address: http://anunslife.org/2008/03/21/blessed-easter/

Out of over 730 sales this is the first one to know the use of… I hope that sale 1460 comes soon, so I can get one more message like that. Ha ha…

Just so excited… couldn’t help bu let you know. Have a wonderful day!

Petar

Happy New Year! …and some more about us.

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

Dear friends,

Happy ! As for - I think we ought to always celebrate Jesus’ coming daily, so - be thankful and rejoice today because He came to save us!

Here’s what’s new since the last (which I don’t even remember when it was…):

Petra and I managed to get some break. Not much, but we were still able to stay home and do just little things we enjoy. I’ve been taking quite a few (but more on that later), while Petra has been resting, cooking, helping out her parents. She was very sick at (for 2 days), but now she’s all fine. And he school & work don’t start till two days from now. She needed that rest.

We didn’t go anywhere for /’s. The plan was initially to escape somewhere quiet (or not so quiet) for a weekend or so, but we figured it will still be quite expensive, then she got sick, the bank transfers were delayed around the holidays… So we spent both holidays at home with her parents - nice and easy (see some below). Perhaps the escape experience will occur some other time. (more…)

A Brief Personal Update

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

Dear friends,

It truly has been a long while since the last personal update from us on our site. Well, life has been busier than what it probably should have been… Things seem to be more stable now, but then again - the December celebrations bring along quite a load of additional tasks.

Anyways, here’s how we’re doing in brief: both of us are still working. Petra’s also studying and continuing to take driving lessons - her driving exam is on Dec. 19 - your prayers and support are much needed - it’s a stressful event having in mind all that’s invested into getting there. Me being able to finally drive our car has given us quite some freedom concerning the little free time we have. So that’s nice - at least we know we’re not stuck at home permanently.

Having that freedom we also found a church to go to for the time we’ll be in Holland. It’s called New Life Christian Fellowship, an affiliate of Church of God, Cleavland, Tennessee, USA. It’s a very alive young church which is active in the community and we feel very welcome to. The services are in English although the people attending are from all over the place. And, of course, we do like that it’s international - it’s always an eye- and mind-opener. More about the church you can learn by visiting their site here: http://www.nlcf.nl/index.html. (more…)

We Saw the Mills!

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

Ok, here comes the life, etc. !

Yesterday we were at the village of Kinderdijk, which features the famous 19 windmills built around 1740 and today is an important tourist location in Holland. We had a beautiful Saturday weather, biked for about 2hrs to there and another hour back. I was able to also take some nice for my stock portfolio - hopefully they get approved. Here are some of the two of us at the windmills:

Apart from that, Petra and I have been able to have some good time together - taking walks in the nearby park, and spending more time with each other. I suppose this sort of “lazy” schedule will change a bit once she begins her classes in September, but I personally find it a lot more peaceful here than at EuNC or compared to our summers in Sofia.
